The First Child Born On September 11th, 1980, Layton, Utah...

The Beginning I was born on September 11th, 1980 in Layton, Utah. I was the first child born to John William Holbrook and Jenifer Morgan. My parents had been married for a little of a year before they welcomed me into their lives. I don’t remember much from the early years of my life but my parents have told me that I had constant ear infections and didn’t sleep through the night until I was a year old. I ended up having two sets of tubes in my ears and didn’t talk very well until the second set were in place. I am the oldest of four daughters; all of us three years apart except for the baby who was six years younger than my third sister. I was twelve years old when my mother was pregnant with my youngest sister. While my mom was pregnant, every prayer that my dad uttered had something to do with, â€Å"And please bless us with a baby boy.† When it was time for bed, the three of us would go into our rooms and offer a prayer to offset his. Obviously, our pr ayers were stronger because we were blessed with a beautiful baby sister. As teenagers, we fought about all the normal things like; lost/stolen articles of clothing, which television show to watch, and who ate all the good cereal, but those things ended after we got older and moved out of the house. Some of my favorite childhood memories are the vacations we would take to Lake Powell and Bear Lake with my father’s extended family. My dad has eight siblings and so I had a lot of cousins on the Holbrook side of the family. I
